VILOX files major U.S. lawsuit against Mohawk

Helsingborg, Sweden, 1 January 2025 – VILOX, a technology company specializing in flooring and furniture installation solutions, has filed a complaint before the US District Court for the District of Delaware on December 31st, 2024, against Mohawk Industries, Inc. The lawsuit involves allegations of infringement of a VILOX patent caused by the Mohawk Home Expressions vinyl plank flooring utilizing an installation system from its subsidiary Unilin BV.

VILOX firmly believes that products utilizing the drop lock installation system which Unilin markets as “Unidrop” are in clear infringement of one of VILOX’ United States patents, US 12,180,717, and will continue to undertake appropriate legal action against all infringements.

While the company intends to protect its licensed partners against the unlawful use of its technologies, VILOX is dedicated to providing access to its solutions under fair and equitable terms in order to create a balanced and competitive marketplace for all.
